Southworks Robotics 2024 — Event Publication Design

Project Overview

For the 2024 Southworks Robotics event, I designed a comprehensive event publication for a host school, transforming the school’s role in the competition into a polished editorial experience that celebrated students, industry partners, participating schools, and the wider robotics community.

The publication was designed to communicate the scale and impact of Southworks Robotics while documenting the event through photography, school and partner identities, event highlights, and supporting information. The visual direction combined a strong blue brand environment with bold, futuristic typography and an editorial image layout to reflect the energy of engineering, robotics, and innovation.

The spread highlighted the growing reach of Southworks Robotics across Illinois, showcasing participating schools and valued manufacturing partners alongside event photography from robotics competitions, Manufacturing Day, High School Meet & Greet, and other community activities.

The result was a visually engaging publication that served both as an event keepsake and a communication piece—helping demonstrate the opportunities created through collaboration between students, schools, universities, and industry.
